Tour report pt. 4

It's 8am as I'm typing this and I just got home from our tour. I guess it was what some would call "a blast"! I still haven't realised that it's allready over. I'm kinda happy to be at home again, but I'm also a bit sad that it's over till the next time. Time seemed to have passed so fast, but on the other hand I almost can't remeber the happenings on the beginning of this journey. it's a weird feeling somehow, but i like it and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

But let's go back to where I left off after the last update...

After almost getting kicked out of the student house by some vietnamese guy we call "Charly" we spent quite some time of the day in London seeing sights and/or shopping before we left for the venue. This turned out to be quite an odyssey as it took almost 2 hours to get there. Venue and promoter were supercool as were the guys from Trash Talk and Paint It Black. We hung around the club for a while before we started at around half past 9. As I said, the show was sold out, so there were like 200 kids...in a room for maybe 130! It was defenitely cool to play infront of so many people. Think we did good. Trash Talk were amazing as were Paint It Black!
After the show we drove back to the studenthouse only to find the park closed. Somehow we managed to get in, but the parking lot was closed too. so we split and some parked the van nearby and the others went to Jessicas room to spend the night there.

We got up early the next day cause we wanted to get to Brighton early to hang out and do some shopping there. This town is amazing. By far my favourite town on the island. The atmosphere there is just so chill and nice + it has the best shopping opportunities. And the pier is something you must've seen.
But before all this we had to find a mechanic, cause the breaks of the van wer falling appart. But this turned out to be easy and the mechanic also told us the way to the venue.
The venue was ace! It's an rock pub with a huge Biergarten. Rob, the promoter is an A+ dude and served us the best meal we got on this tour. We played together with The Legacy, Gold Kids and No Dice. No Dice were defenitely the band that impressed me the most on this tour. POWERVIOLENCE is all I need to say! Quite a few people showed up and I think we played a good set. After the show we went to Robs place, but I slept in the van - cats and I are no good combination.

Again we left early the next day as we had to catch our ferry back to the mainland. I took over the wheel for the first time in England. Weird feeling, but nothing happened.
We arrived at the show on time and met up with our friends Laura and Jonas. It was good to see some faces we allready knew again. We played the show together with our friends from Damaged Goods too who were amazing as always. They're gonna be on tour in October and I suppose you check them out if you have the chance. Also pick up their new LP out on NJW!
After the show we went to Brams house were everbody got drunk and high (except for the sXe kids...).

Next day we played in Cologne, Germany. We left early cause we wanted to hang out in the city which we did. I even managed to get lost...fuck me! Again we met a lot of friends at the show again which was awesome. We played together with Kingdom and AYS who are both amazing bands made up by the nicest dudes!
Oh...and it wouldn't be a Feeding Time tour if none would wreck the van! Last time i crashed the backdoor + window of the van, this time Niki managed to ruin the door on the passengers side!
The night was spent at the flat of Björn from Deny Everything.

After a nice breakfast we made our way to Dresden for the last show of the tour. But not without standing for like 3 hours in a huge traffic jam! But we managed to be right on time. Again a show with lots of friends there, this time our man Hannes and the dudes from Liberty Stands Still/Infected! Show was in a practise room so we were more than siked. Infected opened up and took me by suprise. Great band playing hardcore like Ceremony, Trash Talk, Bracewar and the likes. Schlops would say "Phillip music". Liberty Stands Still were cool too and we played the best show of this tour with people going nuts, moshing and singing along. awesome. couldn't be a better ending of the tour.

After our final goodbyes we made our way home to Vienna and here i'm sitting now infront of my computer typing this shit.

I want to send a huge and sincere "THANK YOU" from the bottom of our hearts to the following people: Jochen, Katze, Puke, René, Litty, Jerémy, Steve, Dave, Surge, Alan, Tom, Sarah, Jessica, JT, Rob, Laura, Wouter, Bram, Jonas Holy Shit!, Jan & Hannes. I think i forgot quite a few more. Please forgive me, i'm still trying to recall all the events of the tour. But all of you made this tour possible and so we owe you everything. We really appreciate all you've done for us. So MASSIVE LUV from the Feeding Time guys!

Please support the following bands/labels as they're not only amazing but are made up by the greatest people we've met so far: Vogue, Nowhere Fast, Fixed Grins, Trash Talk, No Dice, Damaged Goods, Kingdom, AYS, Liberty Stands Still & Infected.

Tour report pt. 3

It's been a while since the last entry and a lot has happened since then. As i'm typing this i'm sitting in the weirdest place so far: in the loby of the regent's college in regent park in London! i feel so out of place here. kids here seem so rich and i feel really smelly. plus: it seems like a really rich neighborhood! but it's cool. we're gonna stay here for the next two nights thanks to our new friend Jessica! so massiv props go out to her and her friends!

but now let me recapture the events of the last few days...

Before we drove to Lille we hung out in the beautiful city of Gent where we met Bjorn from Rise & Fall and Lino from Dead Stop in the centre and enjoyed the beautiful architecture. In the afternoon we drove to Lille to meet up with our friend Jeremy there, hung out a bit and played cool show to a good amount of kids who even made us play an encore. so that was defenitely a good night. we slept over at Jeremys place and left early the next morning.

We got to our ferry without any problems and the ride to the UK seemed to be reallz short this time and Jan also didn't got owned by the sea! but the way to Lincoln was total horror due to heavy traffic almost the whole ride. i didn't care as i played tekken the whole time at the backseat which caused me a nervous breakdown...
the welcome in Lincoln by our friends Steve and Dave was reallz warm. I was so happy to see those guys again as they are A+ dudes. Bad news were that all the supportbands cancelled which was a little bummer, but who cares. we wen't to a store to get some foods but had to wait like 45 minutes. Steve called and told us that there was allready a good amount of kids at the venue, so we headed back, set up and played a good show and ate afterwards.
Since Lille we called the tour the "Super Booze Tour 2008" and since it was friday night we headed out to party...to party real hard. At first we wanted to got to some posh club but they didn't want to let us in, so we went to the same club we went to on our last tour: Sugarcubes. A place with cheap alcohol and shitty music. The others got reallz drunk while peter and I sang along to taking back sunday. good night with lot's of laughs. went home at like 3am.

the next day we hung out in lincoln for a while with surge (?) the owner of the club we played at and slept in and his girlfriend who are one of the nicest persons we've met so far. feeding time <3 lincoln!
the ride to nottingham was pretty short, but we had problems finding the venue due to our navigation system not having the uk maps on it! but it all turned out good. we met up with tom, setted up and waited for the other bands. first band that night was fixed grins, who played their first show and were really good, allthogh a bit sloppy. but really cool! i was really blown away by nowhere fast!!! they play really fast and pissed hardcore like shark attack and the likes. but unlike most band that play that style they weren't boring or just an imitation copy. they fucking ruled and pulled it off quite well. get their demo from Jan Capeet!!! Last band before us were Times Together. youth crew with the funniest stage acting...you just have to love it. we played quite a good set...
rest of the night was spent drinking and talking shit till 4am at toms house. tour is now called "super booze is serious business tour 2008".

didn't sleept too long tonight! we woke up at 9am cause we wanted to get to London early to do some shopping. oh...i forgot to mention that we had a day off today! we wanted to join the gold kids/the legacy show in sheffield tonight, but it sadly didn't work out. so that's how our day off got together. but london is cool too. we parked our van near wembley stadium and took the metro to the city to hang out in oxford street for a while till we met up with jessica. we couldn't believe our eyes when she showed us our sleepingplaces...

tomorrow we will play with trash talk and pain it black...and the venue is SOLD OUT!!!! SIKED!!! i'm really looking forward to that...should be fun. hopefully some of our friends can make it out too...

Tour report pt. 2

I am sitting in the Holy Shit! recs. HQ as i am typing this. Jonas was so kind to let us crash on his floor for the last night. We played a last minute show with Vogue in Eindhoven at the infamous area 51 skatepark last night. due to being a last minute show like the night before almost none showed up, but we got to witness an awesome Vogue jam session and skate the park on our own a bit. afterwards some of us "smoked some funny things" (yes...that was an Kid Rock quote) and we went to Jonas place.

Tonight is the first show of our originally booked ones: Lille! And then we are over at the UK Finally no last minute shows anymore, so hopefully some people will show up.

Support Holy Shit! Records!!!

Tour report pt. 1

I'm sitting in the JUZ Mannheim as I'm typing this. We played here the first two shows of our tour: yesterday with Rhythm To The Madness and Blacklisted, tonight with Vogue and some band from Latvia. The drive to Mannheim on monday was pretty shitty due to rain pouring down for 8 hours straight. But thanks to a big flatscreen and a PS2 wasn't boring at all. Played Fifa 08, Burnout and Tony Hawk the whole time.
At the JUZ we had a warm welcome by René and Litty, hung out a bit and got some pretty good food. We had to wait till the "Vollversammlung" was over until we could set up our gear. The show was a last minute show + it was a monday night, so not that many people showed up. We played an ok set. RTTM were hard, Blacklisted were cool as always.

I slept quite long, woke up at like 12 o´clock. Breakfast was allready ready and offered all we could've asked for. Later René drove with us to Heidelberg to show us the castle there which was awesome. Go there when you get the chance. Afterwards we strolled a bit through the historic city of Heidelberg which was nice too. bought some essential stuff like toothpaste and went to Subway.
Back in Mannheim we went to the shop where René's working at and to a shop to get some more PS games (another tony hawk and Tekken 5 - YES!).
Back at the venue we met up with the Vogue guys. They told us they'll play a show in Holland tomorrow and we could possibly joind. Hope this works out. would be cool as the show's in a skatepark! we'll see...
Food was as good as yesterday. Show was more like a bandpractise as no one but the band and the kids who are running the JUZ showed up. but if we play our set like we did tonight i'm happy. I guess Vogue will be superfunny to watch as always, but they haven't played yet as i'm typing this shit.
Guess some of us will get really drunk tonight as there's a party going on at some club where the kids from the JUZ wanna go to. Could turn out funny...

Nothing but void!

We will have a new shirtdesign ready for our tour...

They will be available for the first time at our 7" Release Show this saturday (13.9.) at the Escape, where we will play with such amazing bands as Blacklisted and Rhythm To The Madness! RTTM just released their 1st LP called "Weltschmerz" on Powered Records. They played some new songs at Ieper Fest and I know this LP will turn many heads. They are on tour right now with Blacklisted, so I suppose you check them out if they play anywhere near your town. But coming to our release show would be the best choice...

Vultures will have a royal feast!

So here it is: The first blog entry of the Feeding Time blog! I had this idea for quite some time as some of my favourite bands, like Fucked Up, Blacklisted or Trash Talk, started a blog too. So why not start a blog for Feeding Time? It will mainly contain updates and news concerning the band. So all of you who are interested in Feeding Time should check back here once in a while.

We just came back from a weekend trip to eastern germany which was a blast! Our friend Hannes booked the first show and helped us jumping on the line up of the second one. He's btw the guy behind Powertrip Records, the label that will release our 7"! You can allready pre-order it by just sending an e-mail to powertriprecords@hotmail.de. He's an A+ dude and deserves all the support you can give! Both shows were cool and we played with some great bands like Have Heart, Shipwreck A.D., Common Cause or Screwed Up. A sincere "THANK YOU" goes out to our new friends in Liberty Stands Still, who are one of the nicest dudes we've met so far. Check them out of you into modern hardcore like Killing The Dream or Life Long Tragedy the slightest!
At both shows a limited pre-version of our s/t 7" was available for the first time. It's limited to 40 pieces and looks like this:

The title to this entry comes from the lyrics of our newest song "Royal Feast". Those lyrics mean a lot to me and I think they're on of the best i wrote in the short history of the band. This song is the first we wrote for our next release. We plan to go into the recording studio this winter again, don't know what's up next for us on a release level. The lyrics go like this:

ROYAL FEAST
failure's running thorugh my veins
regret in every word i speak
burned all the bridges that i've crossed
now let me hang among the lost
i've carried my cross long enough
so drive these nails into my flesh
a nail for every time i have sinned
let me bleed
cap me with my crown of thorns
thrive a spear into my chest
vultures have a royal feast
let me rot
on this cross
in misery
crucified

That's it for now! Again a HUGE thank you to Hannes, Maria, Greyli and all the dudes in Liberty Stands Still and Common Cause!
